The Aviation and Space Technologies Panel, the opening session of the National Technology Summit, which we organized in collaboration with our university and the T3 Foundation, brought together top figures from the sector to discuss our country's space vision and its impressive advancements in the aviation industry.

The program began in the morning with the welcoming of participants. Following a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, Mersin University Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar and Mersin Governor Atilla Toros delivered opening speeches. The speeches emphasized the importance of university-industry collaborations in line with Turkey's national technology initiative, highlighting the critical role young people will play in this process.

Following the opening program, the panel, moderated by Lecturer Ali Batuhan Yıldız, featured experts in their fields who shared their knowledge and experience with the participants. Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) Deputy General Manager Yavuz Emir Beyribey, Turkish Space Agency (TUA) Board Chairman Yusuf Kıraç, and National Technology and Artificial Intelligence General Manager Sadullah Uzun participated as speakers.

The panel covered TUSAŞ's ongoing work, Turkey's national space program, the development process of domestic and national technologies, and artificial intelligence-based technological transformation. Participants had the opportunity to gain comprehensive information about Turkey's current capacity and future goals in the aviation and space sectors.

It was stated that the National Technology Summit will continue to contribute to the technology and innovation ecosystem with sessions to be held in various fields.
