Mersin University Research Dean's Office hosted a significant event aimed at improving the international scientific publication performance of academics and graduate researchers. The program, titled "Article Writing Techniques in High Impact Factor Journals (Q1/Q2)," comprehensively discussed strategies for publishing in leading scientific journals worldwide. Academics, research assistants, and graduate students from various faculties of the university showed great interest in the event.

During the program, faculty members from the Biotechnology Department of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Faheem Shahzad BALOCH and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Azhar NADEEM, shared their valuable knowledge and experience regarding the process of publishing in internationally indexed journals.

The fundamental strategies to follow for publishing articles in high impact factor (Q1 and Q2 category) journals were discussed in detail. The speakers particularly emphasized the importance of choosing the right journal, highlighting that selecting a journal suitable for the research topic directly affects success in the publication process.

The event also included the sharing of technical details regarding the article writing process. The workshop focused on effective title, abstract, and keyword generation methods, proper article structuring, and ensuring originality in literature reviews. Current approaches to the ethical and efficient use of artificial intelligence tools in the academic writing process were also shared with the participants.

Mersin University Research Dean Prof. Dr. Caner ÖZDEMİR stated that similar events will continue in the future, and that efforts to increase the university's international academic visibility will continue.
