Mersin University Research Dean's Office announced a significant support package for TÜBİTAK 1001 scientific research projects accepted within the university. Accordingly, each successfully accepted TÜBİTAK 1001 project will receive 1,000,000 TL in project support.

Mersin University, taking determined steps to increase research and innovation, is implementing this support program to strengthen the scientific work of its academic staff and encourage them to produce nationally and internationally competitive research outputs.

Mersin University Research Dean Prof. Dr. Caner ÖZDEMİR stated in his remarks on the subject, “TÜBİTAK 1001 projects are of great importance in financing high-quality and high-value-added scientific research. With the 1,000,000 TL support we are providing to enable our university academics to participate more effectively in these programs, we aim to both increase scientific productivity and contribute to our country's R&D goals.”

Furthermore, the Dean's Office stated that the support will not only provide financial resources; The university stated that scientific consultancy, training, and mentoring support will also be provided during the project development phase. Within this framework, researchers will be offered the necessary technical infrastructure and guidance services to more effectively DESIGN and execute their project ideas.

Academicians wishing to benefit from this support are expected to apply to the Mersin University Research Dean's Office project unit and submit their work in accordance with the TÜBİTAK 1001 application process.
