The "TÜBİTAK Information Meeting and Academic Talk," organized jointly by TÜBİTAK and our university, was held at our university's Prof. Dr. Uğur Oral Cultural Center. TUBITAK President Prof. Dr. Orhan Aydın was the speaker.

The program, held on Thursday, November 20th, was attended by TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Orhan Aydın, Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar, Vice Rectors, Rector Advisors, Deans, Directors, academic and administrative staff, and students.

"TÜBİTAK Programs Offer Opportunities to Maximize the Competence of Our Academics"

Previous to the conference, Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar said, “TÜBİTAK, as the driving force of our country's scientific production, provides strong guidance to our researchers and develops important support mechanisms that will increase the quality and impact of scientific projects. It is extremely valuable for us that our esteemed President, Prof. Dr. Orhan Aydın, who is with us today, will share his knowledge and experience with us. Our university, in line with its research-focused growth strategies, adopts the fundamental goal of increasing scientific production with all its units, supporting young researchers, and achieving development in line with national science policies. TÜBİTAK programs are an integral part of this vision and offer powerful opportunities that will elevate the competence of our academics.”

Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar emphasized his belief that the conference will create a productive sharing environment that will nourish our University's ecosystem, inspire new projects, and further strengthen collaborations with TÜBİTAK. He concluded his speech by thanking everyone who contributed to the program, especially TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Orhan Aydın.

"TÜBİTAK is a Pioneer Institution in Our National Science, Technology, and Innovation Ecosystem"

TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Orhan Aydın stated in his presentation that TÜBİTAK's role in the national science, technology, and innovation ecosystem is guiding, supportive, and a pioneer in R&D. Prof. Dr. Aydın shared comprehensive information with the attendees about Turkey's place in global and national parameters, publications, patents, the core competencies of TÜBİTAK centers and institutes, projects, artificial intelligence, research infrastructure services, R&D and innovation support for academia, scholarships and support for scientists, and innovation ecosystem and strategy programs.

After the presentation, Prof. Dr. Orhan Aydın answered questions from academics and expressed his great pleasure at being at our university. He thanked everyone involved in the program, especially Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar.

The program concluded with Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar presenting a gift to Prof. Dr. Orhan Aydın in memory of the day, and a group photo.

Enterprise Port and Technopark Visited

Following the conference, the delegation first visited our university's Enterprise Port. There, they were welcomed by the Director of Enterprise Port, Dr. Gürbüz Çomak. TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Orhan Aydın, Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar, and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çağrı Çetin met with young entrepreneurs at the center, chatted with them, and learned about their projects.

The delegation then proceeded to the Technopark, where they were met by Technopark Director Mehmet İlbaş. The delegation held a meeting with companies operating within the Technopark and then visited them and received information from officials.
