Mersin University (MeU) Research Deanship is a strategic unit designed to strengthen the university's research capacity, increase academic productivity, and enhance the national and international visibility of scientific studies. Its primary objective is to establish systems that support researchers, ensure the effective management of research processes, and strengthen the university's position within the scientific ecosystem.

The Deanship works closely with academic units to support the development of research projects, increase access to funding sources, and efficiently utilize research infrastructure. It conducts training, informational meetings, and project consulting services for TÜBİTAK, EU Framework Programs, Development Agencies, and other international funding mechanisms. It also develops indicators that monitor research performance, develops policies tailored to the needs of researchers, and ensures the institutionalization of best practices.

MeU Research Deanship also provides support in numerous areas, including the coordination of ethics committees, publication and citation analyses, laboratory safety, intellectual property processes, and university-industry collaboration activities. This fosters quality, sustainability, and innovative approaches in research processes, strengthening the university's scientific impact.
